April 2016

April started out with April Fool's Day.  I'm not sure how we got into this last year but they never forget.  They were soo excited to play jokes all day long.  They started out by hiding their dad's slim fast and then switching the bags of cereal into different boxes.  They laughed so hard over that.  Then all day they were doing little things and it would be a 'trick'  That night I pretended there was a fly in the house and smashed it and then ate it (it was a raisin) They think April Fool's day is a great holiday.  I'm going to have to start thinking of some better tricks.  I didn't dare mix up their food or freeze their cereal like I saw everyone else do, but might do it next year.

Aria asked to hold Annie at a family dinner.  It was cute to see her just sit there and stare and stare at little Annie.  Then of course Siena couldn't be left out the next time we saw her and got to hold her as well.

We made our spring visit to Wheeler Farm one sunny day.  The best part for them was the play ground we played at.  Last year they were too nervous with so many people and going to the top.  This year all 3 of them played together going up and down a thousand times.  I love that they are doing so much better around groups as usually large groups make both girls a little nervous.

Jaron got a new bike.  I was going to get him one for his birthday but he kept begging me to put the seat down so he could ride his sisters so I finally got sick of it and just went and got him one.  He loves his bike and many times I all of the sudden can't find him and he's gone downstairs by himself and is just riding his bike around in the basement.

We've gotten a few new trees and bushes this spring and one Friday morning they had japanese maples at Costco.  We were all going to go until Jaron decided to throw up right as we were walking out the door.  I was so sure that I could just fit the trees in the van, that I took the girls and went by myself.  The trees were so heavy and although they didn't look that tall they were taller then I could really fit in the van.  I was offered help but thought I could still do it.  Well this is how it ended up.  One tree had to tilt down between the girls car seats.  They were good sports and I bribed them with a treat if they would hold the tree for me.  I was impressed I got them home all by myself!  I think Shane was even impressed when he lifted them and saw how heavy they were.

The girls were so excited when they got invited to Abby's friend birthday party this year.  They had hired an animal refuge group to come show the party some of their animals.  We saw a huge bunny, baby coyote, red tail fox and other fun animals.

The Draper library got some new toys to play with and we had fun one morning playing with their lego table and puppets.
