We've had such a great year at preschool this year. I wasn't sure what to expect and signed them up for this preschool based on no personal recommendations. But I went and met them and was happy with what I saw and heard. And I think I made a good decision. I've been very happy at how the year has gone. They've learned a lot but most importantly for me this year, they've had fun, met new friends, and grown out of their shell a lot.
A couple weeks ago they put on their end of the year performance. It was so cute. They sang all these songs for about 15 minutes straight with hand actions and everything. Miss Tammy, their teacher, has been so good and cute with them.
Every week they've been bringing home a cute craft about the letter they're working on that week, with a mini letter book and a worksheet. On top of that, this week they brought home their Polar Bear books that also has coloring they did for each letter of the alphabet. And then they brought home their portfolio books that has pictures from the year in there, lots of drawings and questions that they answered. My favorite was what are you thankful for. Aria's says, my sister Siena. Siena's said Food. Haha...
It's been a great year. The girls go back next year for pre-K and Jaron will start and do the 3 year old class next year. I can't believe all my kids will be in school. I kind of wish they were in school at the same time but I think it will be good to get some individual time too. Jaron has had that this year which has been nice but Siena and Aria haven't. And although they won't get individual time they will get some specific time with Mom that we haven't had for a while. Whenever they want to do something that is more suited for them and not a 2 year it's been hard to get it done...so that will be a plus next year.
And now we're on to summer. I need to put together chore, learning and fun to do lists!

April 2016
April started out with April Fool's Day. I'm not sure how we got into this last year but they never forget. They were soo excited to play jokes all day long. They started out by hiding their dad's slim fast and then switching the bags of cereal into different boxes. They laughed so hard over that. Then all day they were doing little things and it would be a 'trick' That night I pretended there was a fly in the house and smashed it and then ate it (it was a raisin) They think April Fool's day is a great holiday. I'm going to have to start thinking of some better tricks. I didn't dare mix up their food or freeze their cereal like I saw everyone else do, but might do it next year.
Aria asked to hold Annie at a family dinner. It was cute to see her just sit there and stare and stare at little Annie. Then of course Siena couldn't be left out the next time we saw her and got to hold her as well.

We made our spring visit to Wheeler Farm one sunny day. The best part for them was the play ground we played at. Last year they were too nervous with so many people and going to the top. This year all 3 of them played together going up and down a thousand times. I love that they are doing so much better around groups as usually large groups make both girls a little nervous.

Jaron got a new bike. I was going to get him one for his birthday but he kept begging me to put the seat down so he could ride his sisters so I finally got sick of it and just went and got him one. He loves his bike and many times I all of the sudden can't find him and he's gone downstairs by himself and is just riding his bike around in the basement.

We've gotten a few new trees and bushes this spring and one Friday morning they had japanese maples at Costco. We were all going to go until Jaron decided to throw up right as we were walking out the door. I was so sure that I could just fit the trees in the van, that I took the girls and went by myself. The trees were so heavy and although they didn't look that tall they were taller then I could really fit in the van. I was offered help but thought I could still do it. Well this is how it ended up. One tree had to tilt down between the girls car seats. They were good sports and I bribed them with a treat if they would hold the tree for me. I was impressed I got them home all by myself! I think Shane was even impressed when he lifted them and saw how heavy they were.

The girls were so excited when they got invited to Abby's friend birthday party this year. They had hired an animal refuge group to come show the party some of their animals. We saw a huge bunny, baby coyote, red tail fox and other fun animals.

The Draper library got some new toys to play with and we had fun one morning playing with their lego table and puppets.

Twins first double date
All year long since the girls started preschool I ask them after school who they sat by, talked to, etc. It was always, Siena and Aria, no one else. Then slowly they started stating who sat on the other side of them and it was always a boy's name. So I asked them if they ever sat by another girl...the answer was no and seriously I don't think they ever have. They only have 3 other girls in the class and about 8 or 9 boys. Then a few months ago they started sitting by the same boys every day. Aria would always mention Mason and Siena would sit by Jett.
Well in March they came out to the car and announced that they wanted Mason and Jett to come over and play. They have never before asked for any friend to come over. Although they are always excited when they do but have never asked for a playdate before...#twinproblems or #twinperks I wasn't even sure what to do!? They came home that day and drew both of them pictures and then wanted me to write on it, come over and play. So after a couple weeks of putting it off hoping they would just kind of forget, I finally wrote notes to their parents and had them delivered with the girls pictures they drew. The girls were so disappointed that they hadn't texted by the time we finished lunch that day. Finally that night I got texts from both parents and we arranged a double play date.
The girls were soooo excited. We counted down the days and talked about it non-stop. One morning I pulled their class pictures out so I could see which one was Mason and Jett. Aria pointed out Jett and said 'There's Jett, he's so cute,...but Mason's cuter.' It was very obvious Aria had a crush on Mason.
It was funny to watch the interaction because although all 4 of them played together the whole time, you could tell each boy knew who their 'friend' was they were there to play with. And the boys didn't even really play with each other which I kind of thought they would. Siena and Jett played around and had fun but Mason and Aria were side by side with each other the entire time. So everything was going great until I looked down and saw Mason and Aria holding hands! Say what?? I was trying not to make it obvious I was taking a picture but I had to. Then they kind of dropped hands and immediately Mason reached over and grabbed her hand again! It was just innocent and cute but seriously my stomach got a pit in it. My little girl...I all of the sudden saw her as a 16 year old dating and liking boys and I could hardly handle it. The play date was a success.
Siena came home a couple weeks later and announced that Jett had told her he didn't want to sit by her anymore. I was soo mad but Siena didn't seem to care. And since then they have sat by each other most days anyways. Aria's crush continues. She has already been telling me how much she is going to miss Mason when preschool ends and the saddest news is that he is going to the afternoon preschool next year and we'll be in morning. Heart break.
