Aria's First Haircut

I've been wanting to cut Aria's hair for a while now but just never really around to it.  She's had this underneath layer that grew out faster then the rest of her hair when she was little.  This week in particular it was driving me crazy.  It just started looking stringy and needed a cut really bad.  So Friday night when we didn't have anything going on I decided to take her to get it cut.

I was worried she would cry the whole time as she doesn't really even like me to do her hair and only holds still for a very short time.  I told her if she was good and didn't cry that we would go get ice cream afterwards.

She did great!  She started to cry a little at first but as long as I stood right next to her talking and reminding her of the ice cream she held really still.  However, she did say 'All done, ice cream' probably 50 times during the hair cut.

I wanted the back to be one length and in order to do that we had to cut off 4 inches in the back.  I can't believe her hair was even long enough to cut off 4 inches.  I think it turned out great and it's not as short as I thought it would be.  The back of her hair has some weird flip/curl in it that drives me crazy (she gets that from me...you're welcome Aria!)

Cute little side story of the night.  We went to Wendy's for a frosty and as soon as we sat down and took about 5 bites, I mentioned to Aria that maybe we should take it home and share it with Siena who was patiently waiting at home for us.  Aria hopped right off the chair and headed straight for the car.  She thought it was a great idea.  When we got home, I took the ice cream in first and as soon as Siena heard the door open she came running, not for me but yelling Aria's name.  She stood at the door 'Ara, Ara, Ara' (that's how she says her name) until I opened the door and got her Aria out.  You would've thought we had been gone for a week with the squeals that came out of their mouths, it was such a cute reunion.  It was short lived when Siena realized Aria had a balloon and she didn't have one.  Lucky for me I had some spare balloons from a party and blew one up and wallah, problem solved.  They shared an ice cream and it was a great night.
