In-n-Out....That's what a hamburger is all about!

How lucky are we? In-N-Out officially opened in Draper yesterday!!!

I grew up in S. California and I loved In-N-Out although I had no idea just how lucky I was to have it. When I came to BYU I then realized what everyone up here had been missing out on. Then several years later, one opened in Las Vegas (it made the drive between California and Utah a little more bearable.) Then last year one opened in St. George...it was getting closer, I could feel it. Well the great day finally arrived.

I just happened to have the day off of work the day it opened. It wasn't planned that way nor did I know what day it was officially going to open when I requested the day off. (I know a lot of you don't believe me, but it's true.) I was supposed to be out of town but that didn't work out. So...why not use the day to enjoy some In-N-Out.

I heard my dad and his neighbor, Doyle, were going to head over there early to get in line about 10am. Thinking they were going to stand in line for a while...I slept in, got up and worked out, showered, and just as I was getting out of the shower my dad called and said they will be ordering in less then 5 minutes. The drive thru was over an hour long but if you walked in the line wasn't too bad, especially at 10:15 in the morning. So my dad ordered, I jumped in the car and drove down (hence the hat and no make up in the pictures.) When I got out of my car....oh the smell made me happy! They were really here! I walked in, sat down and started eating my double, double....mmmm mmmmm!! (That's the true experience of In-N-Out!!)

It was so fun to be there the day it opened. Doyle made a scene wearing his Chadders t-shirt and then ripping it off saying he has repented. All the news stations were there and you could just feel the excitement. I think they had over 50 people in the back cooking and fulfilling orders, it was crazy but amazingly very organized and not chaotic. I had a GREAT time at In-N-Out and love that it's so close that I can now go as often as I would like!!

Thanks Dad and Doyle for standing in line and getting us a table to eat at, even if it was only 10 minutes!!!

Everyone, go check it out, don't wait for the drive-thru, go in, it's much shorter!!
