Jaron 2 1/2 update

I guess it's time for a Jaron update.  Mostly because over Christmas he was potty trained!  WHAT?!? I know, I still don't believe it either.  Everyone told me boys potty train later and so I was so not mentally ready for this.  But yep, he was ready.  He started telling me when he was pooping and then every night before bed he started peeing in the toilet.  When we went to Florida he would throw a fit when I would take him to the bathroom in public places to change his diaper and wouldn't let him sit on the toilet (dude, we paid a lot of money to be at Disneyland, I am not sitting in the bathroom while you think you can sit on a toilet for fun.)

So when we got home we got him underwear and I geared up only now he refused to wear the underwear.  So I thought I was off the hook.  Well a couple weeks later he started refusing diapers so I put on the underwear and that was it.  We had a couple accidents the first day or 2 but we started on a Thursday and by Sunday I took him to church in underwear because he was doing so good.  He wears pull ups to bed at night but I'm not worrying about that at this point.  It's nice to be out of diapers and he does really well.  We still have a small accident here and there but it's nothing compared to potty training my girls.

A few more things about Jaron.  He is a blabber mouth.  He talks non stop.  Especially when we're in the car and when the girls are at pre-school.  He cracks me up.  He has been asking questions for about a month or two 'I come mom?' or 'When my turn?'  but a couple weeks ago he started asking Why.  Like if I tell him to sit up for lunch. 'Why?'  or lately 'Why I take nap mom?" in his sweet, whiny, sad voice.  The answer 'because you're 2!' Everything is followed by Why now.

Some other cute sayings of his:
'You wake up me mom' when he wants to make sure I walk into his room in the morning and not dad.
'No thanks' when I'm holding his hand and he doesn't want to hold it anymore.
'I kiss you. That make you happy.'  Yes it does!
'Yeah, that my plan.' about anything he wants to play with and go do.
How old are you? 'um...thirty five!'

He is a goof ball and so wild and crazy.  He will do anything to get a laugh or reaction out of us.  He still keeps up with his sisters on most things and does not like to be helped if he thinks he can do it himself.  He loves to help me make lunch or dinner.  He also goes to bed at 8 and wakes up between 8 and 8:30...his naps are about 1 1/2 hours right now and so I'm happy with all the sleep he's getting.  But he's totally fine to skip a nap here and there when needed.  He's pretty adaptable with his sleep which I love.

I love this little guy of ours.  He has my whole heart.
