June 2025

June started out with Girls Camp.  It was stake camp this year and we went up to the Heber Valley church camp.  It was a fun week with ropes course, faith walk, canoe, hikes, etc.

Jaron also had YM's camp.  The men weren't quite as prepared and they had a little lack of food as well as Jaron showed up at home a night early.  They just packed up and left and drove home the night before.  I think he still had fun though.

One of the saddest parts of the month was when we got back from girls camp the girls checked on the guinea pigs and could tell Chip wasn't feeling well.  Sadly he passed away that night.  It was a long day of tears and saying good bye and it was sad to watch Ozzie go snuggle up to him and try to help him up when he was just laying there.  Chip and Ozzie have been so loved by Siena and Aria and he will be missed.

Aria has been patiently waiting for a horse (Juliet) at the barn she rides at to have her foal.  It was a long wait but finally cute little Romeo was born and we got to go see him when he was just a few hours old.  Aria was in heaven.

Jaron joined the Lone Peak Jr Devo mountain bike team and practices started this month.  He sure is loving it so far and I get pictures from time to time sent to me of their practices.

It was Shane's birthday.  He always requests brownies for his 'cake'  and we celebrated the best dad ever for Father's Day.

We went kayaking at Tibblefork one afternoon.  The kids are starting to grow out of the kayaks both in interest and size.  Then we had our hot dog and smores up the canyon, one of our traditions of summer.

Solventum had a Lagoon day so we can discounted passes and went to Lagoon for the day.  Always a fun day and we got some raffle prizes of stuffed squishmallows and free carnival games so it was fun.  I did feel bad all my kids won a squishmallows and there were other smaller kids there that didn't get any.

Aria almost convinced me to buy a horse this month.  She kept sending me posts of horses and found one for a really good price.  After texting back and forth with this lady she told us we could come see it in Price! So Shane, Aria and I drove down to Price and looked at this horse.  It was a good horse and I thought we were going to buy it.  Aria started telling everyone that she was getting a horse and she was so excited.  Unfortunately, we thought we could board it at the place he takes lessons but when we really started looking at it, the owner changed her mind and told us we couldn't board there.  Aria was devastated!  I felt so bad getting her hopes up and then having to take it away from her.  She had even named the horse Prince.  It was a rough time time for her and we need to find the right situation for boarding before we buy one.  Hopefully one day Aria will own a horse.

We had our annual night at the Lehi Roundup Rodeo.  Always a fun night at the Rodeo.

The Pace kids got to come and spend a few days with us while Tyler and Brigitte were in Italy on a trip.  It was fun having them and we did lots of fun activities.
