Christmas is always such a fun day. I love that the girls came running into our room yelling 'Happy Christmas' in their sweet cute voices. And it was 7:30 not some ridiculous early hour. I love that they are genuinely excited and grateful to receive gifts. But even more I love that they were sooo excited to give each other their gifts. Even if the secret of what they were getting each other had been spoiled for many days. I wish I had it on video how their faces lit up as they opened their gift from their brother and/or sisters and I wish I had a picture of the face of each one as they watched them open the gift they had so happily picked out from the dollar store. Genuine hugs, thank you's and smiles were in abundance. It was seriously the highlight of the whole Christmas season for me. It was that moment that I realized that they might just understand the spirit of giving.
We acted out the nativity on Christmas Eve at my parents house. My girls only wanted to be a donkey (Aria) and a Canimal (Camel...Siena). We talked Jaron into being a shepherd and he was all for that when he saw his stick he got to carry.
Christmas late morning we had Grandma Glover and Aunt Margene over for lunch and to visit and then we headed back over to my parents for a yummy Turkey dinner and dessert. It was a fun day and now I realize I didn't really take that many pictures of the day. I guess it's good just to live in the moment sometimes.
They had to spread their reindeer food they made in pre-school to make sure they reindeer and Santa could find our house!
This might have been their all time favorite gift...well at least the gift they played with the most. They've played Rudolph the whole week after Christmas and wore these around all. day. long.

Christmas Activities
We had such a fun Christmas season this year. The kids are at the perfect age of being so excited about everything. I can't possibly blog about all the activities I did, so here is a quick summary.
We went to Grand America and saw their Christmas display windows and huge gingerbread house. And then we ate dinner and saw the lights at temple square. My friend Konstantina from high school was here so it was fun to show her around as well. It started to rain as we walked around and so we didn't last super long. We got a few pictures and called it good. Although this guy asked me film him proposing to his girlfriend which was kind of random and fun.
We hit up Gardner Village with Holland, Tagg and Brigitte. Once again we didn't last long because it was windy and freezing!! The best part was the donut and cookies we ate at the bakery.
We met Santa at Cabela's one morning. And of course we had to write and mail letters to Santa.
There is this house by us that coordinates lights to music on the radio. We've been by the last few years and the girls were totally bored by it (it's amazing). Well this year they all of the sudden thought it was the coolest thing ever. They loved it and asked to go just about every night the month of December. So we hit up this house a lot. They were convinced it was the North Pole and the rest of the month called it Santa's house because of the santa head that talks to Rudolph between songs.
Draper City does an amazing job with their lights, we usually just drive by but this year we actually got out and walked up to the 'Tree of Life' as everyone calls it. It really is so bright and amazing to look at.
I took the girls to their first Nutcracker performance. We went with Holland, Bostyn and Kate from dance and their moms. The performance was fun and good but the girls didn't quite get the excitement of it. We had fun but they were a little antsy. The best part was dinner at Café Rio afterwards where the girls had their own table and laughed their heads off. We might have made a scene (ok we did) when they started playing duck duck goose on the floor before we left. gross... :)
We decorated a gingerbread house this year. The kids loved that they each got to design their own side of the house.
We went to the sing along at the Delta...er...Energy solutions...er...Vivint Arena. Margene goes every year and we finally felt like the kids were old enough to enjoy it. It was so fun. We had a huge snow storm that day so we weren't sure how the roads were going to be. It ended up being fun. The girls even got shown on the big screen singing to Rudolph. We had popcorn and donuts and had a fun time.
We went to the annual Candy Cane hunt Draper puts on each year. It was the same day as the huge storm so the crowds were minimal, but the snow was deep. As Aria ran with Shane to get a candy cane her boot fell off. Luckily I saw it and grabbed it. They all got prizes and we even got to meet Santa. The best part was this elf they had there. We took a picture and then Siena turned to me and asked 'Mom, why is there a window in the hat with a guys head sticking out.' Ha ha, I hadn't even noticed it...now when I look at it, it's kind of freaky looking.
We got a ton of snow the whole month of December. So we went sledding a few times. Once was just at a park close by our house. The other time we went with all the cousins on the golf course behind Jennifer's house. It was freezing but it's so fun with the big hills. Siena made her own Glover family of snowmen.
And of course what would Christmas be if we didn't have Grandma Glover come stay with us. She's so good to play and read to the kids all day long. Even if their screaming and loud voices hurt her ears. We love having her and she's good to listen to all their stories and watch their shows with them.
