We went to Grand America and saw their Christmas display windows and huge gingerbread house. And then we ate dinner and saw the lights at temple square. My friend Konstantina from high school was here so it was fun to show her around as well. It started to rain as we walked around and so we didn't last super long. We got a few pictures and called it good. Although this guy asked me film him proposing to his girlfriend which was kind of random and fun.
We hit up Gardner Village with Holland, Tagg and Brigitte. Once again we didn't last long because it was windy and freezing!! The best part was the donut and cookies we ate at the bakery.
We met Santa at Cabela's one morning. And of course we had to write and mail letters to Santa.
Draper City does an amazing job with their lights, we usually just drive by but this year we actually got out and walked up to the 'Tree of Life' as everyone calls it. It really is so bright and amazing to look at.
I took the girls to their first Nutcracker performance. We went with Holland, Bostyn and Kate from dance and their moms. The performance was fun and good but the girls didn't quite get the excitement of it. We had fun but they were a little antsy. The best part was dinner at Café Rio afterwards where the girls had their own table and laughed their heads off. We might have made a scene (ok we did) when they started playing duck duck goose on the floor before we left. gross... :)
We decorated a gingerbread house this year. The kids loved that they each got to design their own side of the house.
We went to the sing along at the Delta...er...Energy solutions...er...Vivint Arena. Margene goes every year and we finally felt like the kids were old enough to enjoy it. It was so fun. We had a huge snow storm that day so we weren't sure how the roads were going to be. It ended up being fun. The girls even got shown on the big screen singing to Rudolph. We had popcorn and donuts and had a fun time.
We got a ton of snow the whole month of December. So we went sledding a few times. Once was just at a park close by our house. The other time we went with all the cousins on the golf course behind Jennifer's house. It was freezing but it's so fun with the big hills. Siena made her own Glover family of snowmen.
And of course what would Christmas be if we didn't have Grandma Glover come stay with us. She's so good to play and read to the kids all day long. Even if their screaming and loud voices hurt her ears. We love having her and she's good to listen to all their stories and watch their shows with them.
