Last Monday, after 9 days in the NICU, we were able to bring Aria home. She finally was off her feeding tube, taking all her feedings really well and the only issue left was her oxygen levels. So the doctors said that they could send her home on oxygen and a monitor. We were more than willing to do that.
Aria's biggest issue with her oxygen levels are during her feeding times. She gets so excited to eat that she sucks and sucks and sucks and forgets to breathe. We aren't sure how long she'll be on the oxygen. In the last couple days she has gotten much better at taking her feedings without having her oxygen levels drop. It is a pain to really take her anywhere as you have to haul not only the heavy oxygen tank but also the monitor and cords all attached to her. She's a trooper though and although we have to keep her swaddled a lot so she doesn't pull out the nose canula, she really doesn't seem to mind it. And in fact when the monitor beeps and mom and dad jump up, neither her or Siena even flinch in the slightest.
It's been so fun having both girls home together. I love to look and them both and see what is different and similar to each other. They don't interact all that much but last night we got some cute video of them punching each others arms back and forth. Not sure they knew what they were doing but we thought it was pretty funny.
Welcome home Aria, we're so happy to have you home with us.

So glad to hear they are both home and you are doing great! Arias fingers are long and skinny! Super cute girls!
I want to cry! I'm so happy she is home. It makes me want to jump on a plane tonight.
