October 2025

Fall season soccer is in full force in October.  This was a game of Siena's that was cold and rainy and Shane and Aria were at a different really cold and rainy game all while missing the Saturday am session of general conference.  President Russell M. Nelson had just passed away a few days before conference so we were all happy to be able to listen to all the leaders express their love for Pres. Nelson and give us inspirational words.

Jaron had his first 7th grade choir concert.  They sang some fun songs and it was a great night.

We volunteered to help with a soccer morning along with some of Jaron's teammates to help play soccer with some kids with limited abilities. It was a fun morning and always good to go serve.

I went to one of Aria's horse lessons to see how she is progressing.  Aria is such a confident good rider.  I love watching her come around because she just smiles the whole time and really just has pure happiness in her when she is riding.  This was one of her last times riding Zoe because Zoe has been sick/hurting and they can't figure out what is wrong with her.  Hopefully they will figure it out because Aria loves riding Zoe.

Siena has been trying to teach herself to decorate cookies and cupcakes lately.  This was her batch of Halloween cookies that turned out so cute and we took to YWs as a treat one Sunday.

For fall break this year we drove to California.  We took the kids to Six Flags Magic Mountain for a day and had the best day.  They love roller coasters and Magic Mountain is the place to be for roller coasters.  They rode just about everything they could, the crowds were low and we got a food pass that allowed us to eat a meal or snack every 2 hours along with soda refills all day.  The weather was perfect and we had such a fun day and now everyone wants to go back again!

After that we headed to the Brians and stayed there for a couple days.  Went to the beach and had a fun time.  Christy was out of town in Utah but let us stay there and then they came home on Sunday and we had dinner and then drove home Monday.  Such a fun trip!

Our neighbors the Debenhams invited us to a murder mystery party.  I was a shop owner and Shane was a photographer.  It was a fun night and not something Shane and I normally enjoy doing but we were both glad we went and had fun.

Halloween isn't what it used to be with little kids but they still dress up and still love carving pumpkins.  And they still all 3 go trick or treating and come home with a ridiculous amount of candy.  So they love this holiday and I love they go hang out with friends while I stay home and pass out candy to the kids.
