Aria had her end of year Orchestra Concert. Grandma and Grandpa came and it was fun to hear the songs with all the other students that she has practiced every day for so many months.
Lately Jaron has been enjoying reading a lot in bed. I often find him awake when I go to check on him before I go to bed. And this night I found him asleep but with his book still open.
Jaron's teacher Ms. Hutchinson put on a Mother's Day program. It was such a fun program. They had written a paper about why their Mom is the Mom of the year. They sang a song and had treats. The most fun part was doing a Kahoot with the whole class with trivia questions about Mother's Day and famous mothers.
We had a great Mother's Day. The kids are always so sweet and thoughtful. I love getting my annual picture with my 3 kids.
We had a great spring season of soccer, although we had a very cold spring as well, which makes for some cold and windy games. Jaron finished his season with his AA team and Siena and Aria had a great coach and friends on their team. Shane got to coach the girl's team for a few games as well.
The girls did their County Fair reports this year. Aria had Box Elder county and Siena had Davis county. They worked hard on their reports and projects. Aria made up a game. Siena did a slide show and puzzle.
I got to be a parent chaperone for the 4th grade Bowling Field Trip. I thought it would be complete chaos but ended up being super fun and not too crazy at all. The kids loved 'learning' about force and motion (any way to justify a fun field trip!)
The kids all did their end of school year Dance Festival. The girls danced to Footloose. I thought they should've dressed up 80's but the teachers asked them to dress country. Jaron did One Direction What makes you Beautiful and they all did a great job.
After a little big of a rough soccer year, Jaron decided/begged to try out for a club soccer team. I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit the time and money for it but we finally let him. He tried out for Surf Soccer Club and made it. He was so excited. He has a great coach that is super nice but no non-sense. He has played professionally both soccer and indoor soccer and has coached at High school level and other club teams so I think Jaron is going to learn a lot from him and this team. I know it will stretch him and help him to improve faster. Now I call him 929 (his tryout number.) His number on the team this year will be #10.
Pictures from the Last Day of School! The kids have loved this school year and all 3 loved their teacher. So much so that the girl's didn't even want to be checked out early or let school end. Hoping they all love their teachers next year too. We had to get a picture with Lisbon that the kids carpool, walk or scooter with each day.
We celebrated the end of school with some Hokhulia - shaved ice. I'm not a big shaved ice fan but boy my kids sure love it!
Shane and I went and saw Top Gun 2 and it was such a good movie. I loved it. Afterwards we went and visited Kayla who is working at Baskin Robbins. We had to take a pictures because we share a birthday and now share the same place we worked at in High School.
Jaron decided not to continue with his AA team for this next year. Although he has some great fiends on that team he really wanted to do a club team. So he tried out for Surf Soccer. He made a team and is just starting to practice with his new team. It will be an adjustment for him to make new friends but he's excited to practice more this summer, do some tournaments and be challenged.
