My doctor is saying to plan on sometime between 35-37 weeks and they would induce me after 37 weeks, so we’re definitely on the countdown. Next week I go in for an ultrasound and then I start weekly Non-stress tests from there forward. Baby A is still breech, while Baby B is head down. Unless Baby B pushes her way down a little, they don’t think Baby A will flip at this point, so it’s looking more like a c-section for me. I’m open to whatever and never had my heart set on a particular birth. So I’m fine with whatever the safest way is to get them here.
And I’m going to make an official declaration. People keep asking me what we are going to name the girls. Well, we’ve known the names we liked for quite a while but weren’t completely sure until more recently. So, my declaration is: Yes we know the names, but we aren’t telling people until they are born. Yeah, sorry about that, it bugs, I know.
Things I like about being pregnant:
- Shane saying in a loud voice ‘Hi Girls, it’s Daddy.’ Or ‘Girls be good to mom so she can get some sleep.’ It’s So. Dang. Cute. He wants to make sure they will recognize his voice.
- I’m never cold…everyone thought I would die in the hot summer, and although it’s hot, it’s nice going to work and not being freezing all day long.
- My skin hasn’t broken out since the day I got pregnant, it’s heaven.
- Being able to drink so much water – I’m not a water drinker, or beverage drinker of any kind. I would just rather not drink much. I always feel kind of guilty about it so it’s been nice to be so thirsty and I carry a blue jug around with me everywhere now.
- Decorating, shopping and organizing the nursery. Although it’s a total mess right now, it’s been fun. I’ll do a separate post with pictures when things look more organized.
- Ultrasounds – I’ve been lucky to have so many ultrasounds this pregnancy. I’m sure I just take them for granted and to those who only get 1 or 2 their entire pregnancy, I don’t know how you do it. At the last ultrasound we were focused right on Baby A’s face when she gave us a huge yawn. It was so cute to watch. Unfortunately pictures don’t do it justice but it’s so fun to watch them move around.
- Having to go to the bathroom all the time. Because I’m not much of a drinker, I don’t normally go to the bathroom all that often. People call me a camel because although not good for you, I can wait a really long time before having to go to the bathroom. Now, it’s totally opposite and has taken a lot of adjustment!
- Being out of breath – not only from walking up a flight of stairs, but sometimes just walking across a parking lot while talking on the phone totally makes me out of breath.
- Heartburn and burping – the burping is never ending. Heartburn, enough said, it’s annoying.
- Sore body – Now I know why pregnant women waddle, I never really got it. It’s cuz everything is just so dang sore. My hips, my back, my legs, my feet…after sitting for even short amounts of time, I get up and it’s so hard to start walking, so I have to waddle until things stretch out a bit.
- People that know when I’m due, asking when I’m due - like they think it’s changed just because I’m so big. I’ve considered a sign on my t-shirt that gives how many weeks I have left but haven’t dared to do it yet. I know everyone is just excited, but by the end of the day, I feel like I’ve answered that question 100 times.

I can't believe you haven't broken out since being pregnant. I heard that you usually break out more when you have a girl (or girls). Interesting.
Yay I'm so excited it's almost here! You look so great! PS- we need to play words with friend I love it too!
